Job summary

Ancora Education is seeking a CDL Driver Trainer to lead the truck driving program at the assigned location. The role involves delivering instruction across over‑the‑road, range, and classroom settings, under supervision of the Program Director or Lead Trainer. Travel to other locations may be required due to contracted training cohorts.

Successful candidates will have a valid CDL, strong communication and leadership skills, and a track record of safe, compliant instruction.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL required and Class level suited to position
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities for over-the-road and classroom instruction
• 3 years of verifiable on-the-road experience within the last 5 years
• Must pass DOT physical, drug screening, and medical certification
• Ability to travel to other locations as needed
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and cloud-based tools

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a positive learning environment
• Convene classes and deliver instructional material
• Instruct in truck driving skills including pre-trip inspections and backing maneuvers
• Administer written tests and evaluate grades
• Maintain records of student progress and attendance
• Travel to other locations as required
• Demonstrate safety and compliance with all regulations
