UNAVAILABLE is seeking a Market Area Trainer to educate employees on safe and efficient operation of company vehicles through classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training. The role prepares drivers for specific lines of business, evaluates performance, and supports retraining with a focus on the Smith System 5 Keys.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching, evaluating, and developing drivers across varying levels of experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, trainers, managers, and safety teams while maintaining documentation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Smith System 5 Keys training through classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction; assess driver readiness and provide retraining after incidents.
• Coach Designated Driver Trainers (DDTs) and ensure use of Casella materials across experience levels.
• Support onboarding with classroom and on-road training during 4–6 week program and participate in manager release decisions.
• Provide refresher training and route observations to reinforce safe driving behaviors across lines of business.
• Maintain training records and provide regular reporting to management.
