Job summary

Ancora Education is seeking a CDL Driver Trainer to lead all driver training functions for the CDL program at the Mount Pleasant location. The trainer will bring extensive field experience, strong communication, and the ability to teach over-the-road, range maneuvers, and classroom instruction under supervision of the Program Director or Lead Trainer.

Responsibilities include delivering instruction, administering tests, maintaining records, and upholding safety and program policies.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL; Class A or appropriate level.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years verifiable on-the-road experience in last 5 years.
• DOT physical and DOT drug screen required.
• Ability to pass road test and maintain Medical Examiner Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains a positive learning environment.
• Convenes all assigned classes per start/end times.
• Maintains a safe environment for students and staff.
• Administers written tests and evaluates grades.
• Trains students in trucking/driving and pre-trip inspections.
• Utilizes skills assessments to evaluate progress.
