Job summary

Ancora Education is seeking a temporary AT - CDL Driver Trainer in Baton Rouge to support and perform all driver training functions for the CDL program. The role involves classroom instruction, over-the-road coaching, and safety training for Amazon Career Choice associates.

The position requires a valid CDL, 3 years of verifiable on-the-road experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass DOT physicals and drug screens. It is a short-term assignment with up to 90 days duration.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with appropriate class level
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years verifiable on-the-road experience in last 5 years
• MVR and background check incl. drug screen
• Must pass DOT road test and DOT physical; maintain ME certificate
• Must pass DOT drug tests when hired and ongoing

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains a positive learning environment
• Convenes all assigned classes per their start and end times
• Maintains a safe environment for all students and staff
• Administers written tests and evaluates grades
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of CMVs
• Instruct air-brake tests, straight-line backing, and backing maneuvers
• Instruct parking and docking maneuvers
• Maintain records of student progress and attendance
• Uphold confidentiality and professional conduct
