Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. is hiring a Driver Trainee in Ohio. This position provides essential training for aspiring CDL drivers, working closely with experienced drivers to learn the role essential to waste and recycling services. The job requires entering and exiting a truck frequently, operating safely, and interacting professionally with customers.

Rumpke offers competitive pay and benefits including health care, paid vacation, and a 401(k). Candidates should be at least 19 years old and able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card within 10 days of employment.
• Must be able to obtain a class B CDL permit within 60 days of employment.
• Must be able to obtain a class B CDL within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Attend classroom and field training to obtain required CDL license.
• Assist during training to complete daily routes as needed.
• Enter/exit a truck 300-500 times per day to service assigned route.
• Operate a truck safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Provide waste removal services to customers on assigned routes.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows.

Education

High School or General Education Diploma (preferred)
