Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Driver Trainee. You will train alongside drivers to gain CDL experience, assist with servicing routes, and learn to haul waste safely to disposal sites.

The role begins in a trainee capacity with growth into a CDL driver position. You will participate in classroom and hands-on training, perform daily route tasks, and demonstrate safe driving practices as you progress toward full CDL certification.

Qualifications

• Able to read and understand maps and directions.
• Clear written and verbal communication with customers and team.
• Able to read, speak, and understand English well.
• Commitment to safety and following procedures.

Responsibilities

• Attend classroom and field training to obtain CDL license.
• Assist as a helper during training to complete daily routes.
• Enter/exit a truck 300-600 times per day to service routes.
• Operate a truck safely in accordance with regulations and company policies.
• Assist with providing waste or recycling removal services on routes.
