Job summary

Bernick’s is seeking a Driver Trainee in Saint Cloud, MN to train and develop new team members toward earning a Class A license. You’ll advance from Driver Trainee to Route Driver with a local route four days a week.

As part of the Bernick’s team, you’ll operate a commercial vehicle in DOT compliance, merchandise at accounts, complete routes accurately, and participate in safety inspections while enjoying full-time hours and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Have a valid Driver’s License.
• Have a driving record meeting Bernick’s standards.
• Have your Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) prior to start date.
• Lift and move product weighing 50-165 pounds.
• Travel may be required to support various Bernick’s locations, events, or business needs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a commercial vehicle in DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Rotate and merchandise beverages at customer accounts.
• Complete daily routes with accuracy and efficiency.
• Load and unload goods safely and securely.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; communicate professionally with customers and team members.

Job Summary:

The Driver Trainee position is designed to train and develop New Team Members and assist them with attaining their Class A Driver’s License. You will advance from a Driver Trainee to a Route Driver and have a designated route. Our Route Drivers work local route 4 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies
• Rotate and merchandise beverages at customer accounts
• Complete daily routes as scheduled, with accuracy and efficiency
• Load and unload goods safely and securely
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspectionsCommunicate professionally with customers and team members

Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)

• Tuesday-Friday

Requirements

• Have a valid Driver’s License
• Have a driving record which meets Bernick’s standard
• Have your Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP) prior to start date (required)
• Lift and move product weighing 50-165 pounds
• Bend, lift, twist, while moving product off the truck
• Travel may be required as part of this role to support various Bernick’s locations, events, or business needs. A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) will be conducted as part of the hiring process and evaluated in relation to the requirements of the role.
• Team members in this position may be required to handle, move, and work with a variety of products, including alcoholic beverages, nicotine products, pork products, and other regulated consumer goods.

Base Compensation:
