Job summary

QXO in Solon is seeking a dependable CDL driver to join our field operations. You will perform touch-freight, pre-inspect trucks, and load materials while ensuring safety and compliance with DOT procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks and handle loads weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect sites for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely deliveries.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What You'll Do

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What You'll Bring

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class B CDL license in good standing
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
