Job summary

QXO is seeking a qualified CDL Class A driver to join our team in North Carolina. The role involves touch-freight, pre-inspection, safe site setup, and ongoing coordination with dispatch to ensure timely deliveries.

The candidate will operate with DOT compliance and wear required PPE while contributing to a safe, efficient loading/unloading operation on site.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
