Job summary

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products in Cleveland, seeks a dependable CDL driver. You will perform touch-freight tasks, inspect loads, and ensure safe loading and unloading with proper PPE.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL, at least 12 months of commercial driving experience, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather. You will communicate with dispatch and follow DOT safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Class B CDL and good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Ability to lift/carry products up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.

What You\'ll Do

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs - Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load - Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site - Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading - Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products - Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What You\'ll Bring

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class B CDL license in good standing
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Will ingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
