Job summary

QXO in Cedar Rapids is seeking a detail-oriented delivery and loading associate to support on-site operations. This role involves touch-freight tasks, loading materials, and maintaining accurate loads while adhering to safety procedures.

You will collaborate with dispatch, inspect sites for hazards, and ensure timely delivery to customers. A valid Class B CDL, willingness to work outdoors, and the ability to operate independently or with a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class B CDL license in good standing.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
