Job summary

Mid-Cape Home Centers in Massachusetts is seeking a CDL Driver I to safely transport lumber and building materials to job sites and company locations. This role requires maintaining a Class A or B CDL, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and managing DOT logs.

You will load and unload materials, assist in warehouse stocking, deliver with care to customers, and adhere to DOT safety rules and hours-of-service requirements. 1–2 years CDL experience and a HS diploma are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required.
• Experience transporting lumber and building materials required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Delivers to active construction sites and completed locations; possible inter-state travel.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Provides professional customer service and relays messages on job sites to customers and staff.
• Loads, unloads, and secures materials; verifies orders before departure and on delivery.
• Maintains truck cleanliness and assists in warehouse stocking and organization.
