A&A Transfer (An MEI Company) is the leading industrial rigging and crane company in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Hauls oversize/overweight loads, up to 12' wide and 110,000 lb. gross weight, with knowledge of load securement and safe hauling practices.
2. Drives tractor & trailer rigs safely under DOT regulations to transport equipment and crews, including loading/unloading and load securement.
3. Signals or verbally directs workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety.
4. Attaches loads to rigging for support or movement, using hand and power tools; controls heavy equipment movement through narrow or confined spaces.
5. Knowledgeable in alignment, leveling, and anchoring of machinery.
6. Manipulates rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support heavy materials, attaching pulleys and blocks to fixed structures.
7. Operates vehicles and mechanized devices such as forklifts, scissor lifts, tractor trailers, telehandlers, aerial lifts, etc.
8. Tests rigging for safety and reliability; dismantles and stores rigging equipment after use.
9. Selects appropriate gear like cables, pulleys, and winches based on load weights and work requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of operating equipment (forklifts, man lifts, platforms, etc.)
• Ability to measure and use hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds, balancing, walking, and handling materials.
