Job summary

GFL is seeking a Residential Driver in Illinois to safely collect solid waste and recyclables on curbside or backdoor routes, operating a residential/recycling truck and maintaining route quality.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, report mechanical issues, and follow safety protocols. CDL and minimum driving experience required; benefits include PTO, health plans, 401(k), and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• CDL required and clean driving record.
• Ability to safely drive truck and operate equipment.
• Demonstrate safety-conscious driving and route adherence.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck on assigned route.
• Load waste/recyclables into rear/side of vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete reports.
• Communicate mechanical issues to supervisor promptly.
• Maintain route quality and safety compliance.
• Work overtime as needed and attend safety meetings.
