Job summary

Athens Services is seeking a Commercial Driver to operate a heavy-duty truck on container delivery, recycling, and commercial routes, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

You will perform DVIR checks, follow DOT rules, load/unload, report incidents, and collaborate with route supervisors to improve efficiency. We offer competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A or B Driver's License.
• 1 year of experience operating a Side Loader vehicle.
• Able to meet all DOT requirements.
• Able to provide exceptional customer service always.
• Time management skills.
• Able to follow through multiple challenges as they arise.
• Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicle in accordance with OSHA/DOT and other regulatory requirements.
• Performs pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR) and reports defects.
• Ensures vehicle is operating correctly and reports concerns to Route Supervisor/Dispatch.
• Follows safety rules and uses provided PPE.
• Drives on container delivery, recycling, residential, commercial, or industrial routes.
• Communicates customer requests/issues to Dispatch/Route Supervisor.
• Keeps area around disposal site clean and safe and properly positions containers.
