Job summary

Athens Services is seeking a Commercial Driver to operate a heavy-duty truck on recycling and commercial routes, servicing customers while following OSHA/DOT rules. You will perform DVIR inspections, report deficiencies, and keep the vehicle clean, contributing to safe, efficient route execution.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A or B Driver's License and clean driving record.
• 1 year of experience operating a commercial vehicle preferred.
• Ability to meet all DOT requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty truck on assigned routes following OSHA/DOT and company policies.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and file DVIR reports.
• Report vehicle deficiencies and safety concerns to Route Supervisor/Dispatch.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper disposal of waste per rules.
• Communicate customer requests to Dispatch and ensure containers are left clean.
• Wear PPE and participate in safety trainings and meetings.
