Job summary

Ewing Outdoor Supply is seeking a dependable CDL Driver in New Braunfels, TX. You will plan routes, transport materials to customers, and ensure safety and maintenance standards on all deliveries.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, adherence to CDL regulations, and teamwork in a fast-paced wholesale environment. Salary is $24/hour with DOE, full-time hours, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a CDL Driver.
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL, CB, etc.).
• Extensive knowledge of truck driving rules and regulations.
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
• Valid CDL license and ability to operate forklifts and yard equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Transport materials to and from distribution centers and to customer sites.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Comply with CDL rules and company policies; report defects or incidents.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.

Responsibilities

As a CDL Driver, your role supports day-to-day operations in a fast-paced wholesale environment serving contractors and industry professionals. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Delivery and Transportation

• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Transport materials to and from retail or distribution centers.
• Customer job site and warehouse delivery

Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

• Conduct pre and post trip vehicle inspections for mechanical items and safety issues
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles
• Comply with CDL rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations

Customer Service

• Communicate effectively with team members to fulfill orders and resolve issues
• Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with customers on deliveries

What we are looking for…

• Proven work experience as a CDL Driver
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.)
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• Valid CDL license
• Ability to operate forklifts and other yard equipment
• Strong customer service skills
• Moffit & forklift experience is a plus
