Job summary

Ewing Outdoor Supply-Distribution Center in Elkridge, MD is hiring a CDL Driver to be the frontline for customer relations, branch operations, and daily deliveries. This role supports the Branch Manager and dispatch teams, maintains vehicle safety, and helps achieve company goals.

Base pay is $25.00 per hour, DOE. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, PTO, and disability. Must have a valid CDL and clean driving record; experience with GPS/AVL is a plus.

Qualifications

• CDL Driver with valid license and clean driving record.
• Experience operating GPS/AVL units and reporting per policy.
• Familiarity with CDL rules and vehicle safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to and from retail or distribution centers.
• Inspect vehicles for safety and perform preventative maintenance.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.

Ewing Outdoor Supply-Distribution Center

Base Pay: $25.00/hr < DOE

The Ewing CDL Driver serves as the front line for customer relations, customer service, branch and vehicle maintenance, and daily branch deliveries. A CDL Driver provides meaningful service to our customers in the most pleasant and professional manner possible.A CDL Driver will support the branch manager and dispatch managers and the company's goals. Drivers are expected to support Branch Managers by performing the tasks and activities required for successful branch operations, maintaining vehicle safety, as well as providing customer support. Additional requirements include the completion of tasks and activities assigned in support of annual plans established by the Branch, its Region, and its Division.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials to and from retail or distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Comply with CDL rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents, or violations

• Proven work experience as a CDL Driver
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc)
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc)
• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations
• Valid CDL license
• Use of payroll system regularly to clock in and out in accordance with Company policy and state/federal laws and regulations.
