1st SHIFT CDL DRIVER / MATERIAL HANDLER

JOB SUMMARY: Penn Wood Products, Inc. has an immediate opening for a CDL Driver. The individual is responsible for intercompany and outside deliveries of pellets and other related deliveries and pickups. The individual must be self-motivated and flexible in helping various departments as needed. Good communication skills are required.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Driver will be responsible for making intercompany and outside deliveries of pellets and other related deliveries and pickups.
• Driver will be responsible for knowing when payment needs to be collected at time of delivery. Taking responsibility of both cash and check payments and delivering payment to the correct personnel.
• Driver will need to load and unload shipments utilizing a forklift as required.
• Driver to stay current on all safety requirements.
• Driver must communicate any issues with company trucks to maintenance personnel immediately upon discovery or at earliest possible time.
• Driver must inspect truck daily and fill out required logs as required.
• Driver must clear snow and ice from truck as needed and keep truck clean.
• Must be willing to move material via truck and/or forklift during periods where no deliveries or pickups are scheduled.
• Driver will be responsible for coordination with pellet sales and shipping to schedule pickups and deliveries and adhere to said schedule when possible.
• Driver must use best judgement in inclement weather and opt out of deliveries or pickups if it is unsafe to do so.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a Class B 26,001 lbs with medical and air brakes endorsement commercial driver's license. Cannot have a L or Z restriction.
• Forklift certification by Pennwood required.
• Safe driving record is required.

Working Conditions:

• Outside conditions may vary depending on outdoor temperature and weather (rain, snow, ice, etc..).
• Warehouse and temperature in trailers may vary depending on temperature outside.
