Job summary

Zeeland Lumber & Supply, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is hiring a CDL Driver I to safely deliver lumber and building materials from our Michigan yards to job sites and customer locations. You will perform pre-and post-trip inspections, maintain logs per DOT hours of service, operate a truck-mounted forklift, load and unload materials, and uphold outstanding customer service.

High school diploma or GED; Class A or B CDL; 1–2 years CDL experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers.
• Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials.
• Ability to operate truck-mounted forklift.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Delivers to active construction sites and completed locations; may travel inter-state.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and maintains logs per federal regs.
• Provides professional customer service and relays messages on job sites.
• Loads, secures, and verifies orders before departure and on delivery.
• Complies with DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
• Delivers and unloads materials and handles returns documentation.
• Operates a truck-mounted forklift to load/unload materials.
• Keeps the truck clean and organized; assists in stocking inventory.
