Job summary

Zeeland Lumber & Supply, a division of US LBM Holdings, is hiring a CDL Driver I in Michigan. The role focuses on safe transportation, on-site and inter-state deliveries, and professional customer interactions at job sites.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, manage logs, and ensure accurate loading and unloading of lumber and building materials, maintaining safety and efficiency throughout routes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers preferred.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Experience transporting lumber and building materials required.
• Able to read orders and complete forms.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Delivers to active construction sites and completed locations; may require city-based and inter-state travel.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Provides excellent customer service and communicates with clients professionally.
• Verifies orders for accuracy before departure and on delivery, and secures loads.
• Follows DOT regulations, logs hours, and complies with permit requirements.
• Delivers and unloads materials safely and documents returns for credit.
• Operates truck-mounted forklift as needed and assists in warehouse stocking.
