Job summary

The Armstrong Company is seeking a Company Driver to oversee full-cycle transportation activities, including packing, loading, transporting, and unloading. The role requires operating a CDL A or CDL B vehicle to manage the movement of equipment and goods, while ensuring high service levels and safety standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with packers, maintaining accurate shipment records, and adhering to DOT guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL (or B for straight truck) required.
• Moving & storage or furniture delivery experience is a plus.
• Proven safe driving record is required.
• Must pass DOT medical, PSP, drug screen and background checks.
• Must be able to operate tractor-trailer or straight truck per DOT rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks for local delivery, pick-up, and relocation of product and materials.
• Protect items using pads and tape to prevent damage during loading, transit, and unloading.
• Maintain accurate shipment paperwork including Bills of Lading and inventories.
• Direct packers and helpers to load/unload safely and efficiently.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage promptly.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and ensure cleanliness of equipment.
