Job summary

Armstrong’s is seeking a Company Driver to lead full-cycle transportation tasks, operating CDL A or CDL B equipment for local deliveries, loading and unloading, and inventory control. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The driver will supervise helpers, ensure compliance with DOT rules, and maintain equipment and paperwork, reporting to the Supervisor with operational updates.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills are required.
• Prior moving & storage or furniture delivery experience is a plus.
• Must have a valid CDL A or B license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass DOT and company background checks and medical screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate trucks for local delivery, pick-up, and relocation of products.
• Protect items during loading, transit, and unloading.
• Maintain accurate shipment paperwork (Bills of Lading, inventories, weight tickets).
• Direct packers and helpers to load/unload safely and efficiently.
• Comply with driver logs and expense reporting.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery/pick-up.
