Job summary

Texas Building Supply, a division of US LBM Holdings, LLC, is seeking a CDL Driver I to safely transport lumber and building materials to job sites and distribution centers. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections, manage logs, and ensure accurate documentation for each delivery, while providing excellent customer service on site.

The role requires a Class A or B CDL, high school diploma or GED, and prior CDL experience with flat beds or tractor trailers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers preferred.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials required.
• Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and loading procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Delivers to active construction sites and completed locations; may travel inter-state.
• Conducts pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections for safety and compliance.
• Provides professional customer service and relays messages on-site.
• Loads, unloads, and secures materials; verifies orders before departure and delivery.
• Maintains DOT logs of driving hours, on-duty time, and rest periods.
• Safely operates a truck-mounted forklift as needed and keeps vehicle clean.
• Assist with stocking and organizing inventory in warehouse and production areas.
