Job summary

Beary Landscaping is seeking a CDL Driver to operate company vehicles and support landscape crews. You will transport crews and equipment between the yard and job sites, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations.

The role blends driving duties with hands-on landscape tasks to keep daily field operations on schedule. The position requires a valid CDL (Class A or B), a clean MVR, and the ability to pass DOT drug/alcohol screening.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL in good standing.
• Clean MVR; meets company and DOT insurability standards.
• Current DOT medical certificate.
• Minimum 1–2 years of verifiable CDL experience, preferably with trailers.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random DOT drug/alcohol screening.
• Ability to read maps/GPS and plan efficient multi-stop routes.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to sit for extended driving periods and perform landscape labor when not driving.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles (dump trucks, flatbeds, trailers) with Class A/B CDL.
• Transport crews, equipment, and materials between yard/nursery and job sites.
• Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIRs).
• Load, secure, and unload equipment and materials using ramps, straps, and chains.
• Maintain driver logs and Hours of Service (HOS) records.
• Report mechanical issues and maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist ground crew with landscape tasks when not driving.
• Navigate efficient routes to maintain schedule and fuel efficiency.
• Comply with DOT and company safety policies.
