Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons is seeking a CDL Driver / Laborer to support heavy civil construction operations by safely transporting materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites while assisting field crews with skilled labor duties when driving responsibilities are not required.

This role involves extensive out of state travel to project locations and hands‑on work with the Patching Crew on roadway repair and paving tasks.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with Class A endorsements and a clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience, preferably in construction.
• Solid knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to operate large commercial vehicles in various weather and road conditions.
• Strong time management and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials, tools, and equipment between sites safely.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and documentation.
• Secure loads in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Assist field crews with general labor tasks when not driving.
• Travel to project locations regionally as required.
• Maintain vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
