Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons seeks a Traveling Skilled Laborer to support our Patching and Concrete Crew on varied projects nationwide. You will assist with loading/unloading materials, digging trenches, and operating hand and power tools while maintaining a clean, safe work site.

The job requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, basic math skills, and the ability to follow directions and work well independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience with Concrete and Patching work.
• Experience in construction or related industry preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in all weather conditions.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Travel across country (East to West, South to North).
• Assist with general construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, digging trenches, and operating hand and power tools
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other construction staff to ensure project success
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in construction practices
• Other duties as assigned
