Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons is seeking a CDL Driver / Laborer to support heavy civil construction by safely transporting materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites while assisting field crews with skilled labor duties when driving is not required.

This role involves extensive out-of-state travel to project locations across the region, working with the Patching Crew on roadway repair, concrete and asphalt patching, site preparation, and other heavy highway construction activities.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A with endorsements and clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience, preferably in construction.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to operate large commercial vehicles in various conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Transport materials, tools, and equipment between plants, yards, and project sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete documentation.
• Secure loads per DOT regulations and company standards.
• Assist crews with general labor when not driving.
• Travel to multiple job sites and support safety briefings.
