Job summary

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. is seeking a dependable CDL-A Dump Truck Driver to support heavy civil construction operations across project sites in Missouri and beyond.

The role emphasizes safety, punctual material transport, and coordination with project managers, equipment operators, and crews. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, log hours, and assist with light maintenance while adhering to Hours of Service regulations. Extensive travel may be required on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class B or A CDL.
• Valid DOT Med Cert with Non-Excepted Interstate self certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience operating dump trucks preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and best practices for materials.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic mechanical skills for minor truck maintenance.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to read, understand and navigate using paper and/or digital maps.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Always adhere to Emery Sapp & Sons safety policies and procedures.
• Perform basic maintenance on the truck when necessary.
• Extensive travel may be required.
• Accurately navigate a dump truck using instructions, maps or GPS, to a wide variety of locations both on road and off.
• Properly wear and safely use PPE.
• Properly record hours worked using an ELD in compliance with Hours of Service regulations.
