Job summary

BCOMM Constructors, a Primoris Company, is seeking a CDL Driver / General Laborer to safely transport equipment, load and unload materials, and support outdoor telecommunications construction projects. The role requires operating heavy equipment, performing basic vehicle maintenance, and complying with DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• CDL Class A license required or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in construction/telecommunications is a plus.
• Physical: ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and crew.
• Load, secure, and unload equipment as required.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on vehicles.
• Maintain logs and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Assist with site prep and general labor tasks on construction sites.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and travel short-term as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Driving Duties: Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and crew members to and from job sites.
• Driving Duties: Load, secure, and unload equipment and materials as required.
• Driving Duties: Perform routine inspections, maintenance checks, and minor adjustments on vehicles to ensure safety and reliability.
• Driving Duties: Maintain accurate logs, inspection records, and other required documentation.
• Driving Duties: Adhere to all local traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Labor Duties: Assist with site preparation, including digging trenches, setting poles, and laying conduit.
• Labor Duties: Operate and maintain hand tools, small machinery, and other equipment used in telecommunications construction.
• Labor Duties: Perform general labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials.
• Labor Duties: Work outdoors in various weather conditions to support construction activities.
• Labor Duties: Follow safety protocols and participate in safety training programs to maintain a safe work environment.
• Labor Duties: Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth operations and timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• License: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class A preferred or willingness to obtain. Clean driving record.
• Experience: Prior experience in construction, telecommunications, or related fields is a plus. Ability to operate heavy machinery is an advantage.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Flexibility to work overtime and travel short-term as project demands. Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.
