About the CDL Driver Position:

As a CDL Driver you will be responsible for the safe delivery and retrieval of trailers to and from customers and other locations. Your primary duties will include driving locally, coordinating trailer deliveries, inspecting trailers upon retrieval, moving trailers around the yard and shop, and assisting with the daily operations of the branch. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of trailer systems, experience in navigating tight spaces with 53’ trailers, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate trailer deliveries to customers, timely and efficiently
  • Move trailers to and from customer locations, other lots, and around the yard
  • Maneuver trailers in and out of the shop
  • Inspect trailers and determine any damage
  • Collaborate with both Operations and Maintenance departments to support efficiency of branch operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas
  • Adhere to DOT regulations
  • Keep updated on industry standards
  • Ensure a safe work environment

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Current and valid Class A CDL required
  • Experience operating and moving trailers safely and efficiently
  • Aptitude for mechanical skills
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Safety awareness
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in the trailer/transportation industry preferred
