Job summary

Aramark in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Driver II with a CDL to operate a bus, shuttle van, or straight truck. The role includes pre-trip inspections, safe driving practices, and delivering guests and supplies to designated locations.

Candidates must have a valid CDL Class B or C, pass DOT medical and drug tests, and complete defensive driving training. The position offers hourly compensation of $23.00–$26.00 with benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year+ professional driving experience and vehicle mechanical experience.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
• Must have a valid Commercial Driver License (Class B or C) with a clean driving record showing 5 years of prior safe driving.
• Must pass a DOT physical examination and obtain a medical card.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and participate in the random drug/alcohol testing pool.
• Defensive Driving Course completion prior to driving a company vehicle.
• Passenger endorsement or airbrake endorsement may be required to drive all vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily vehicle inspection before and after routes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant vehicle environment.
• Wear safety equipment and fasten seat belts while driving.
• Operate company vehicles under 26,000 lb GVW transporting passengers or goods.
• Drive defensively and safely in all conditions.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent Aramark positively to guests.
• Assist with baggage and supplies as needed.
• Know property and area to serve as concierge resource for guests.
