Job summary

HOOPER is seeking a CDL Driver to deliver materials and equipment to job sites and assist in the warehouse as needed. This role requires operating Class A CDL vehicles, loading/unloading, and performing pre-trip inspections.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year CDL driving experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work well in a team while following safety procedures in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year CDL driving experience with clean record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and able to work independently.
• Team player with safety mindset.
• Ability to load/unload on field construction sites in various weather.
• Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 75 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A CDL equipment and standard trucks to deliver materials to job sites.
• Load and secure materials; unload as needed.
• Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
• Operate forklift as needed.
• Assist with shop labor and cleaning as required.
• Work as part of a team and support project needs.
• Complete other duties or special projects as assigned.

General Summary

The CDL Driver is an experienced driver that will help deliver materials and equipment to and from job sites and help with tasks around the warehouse shop as needed.

Principal Accountabilities

• Operates all types of Class A CDL equipment and standard pickup trucks to make deliveries to job sites.


• Loads and secures materials on vehicle and often manually unloads vehicle.


• Conducts pre-trip inspection of delivery vehicle to assure that vehicle is safe to drive and roadworthy.


• Operates forklift as needed.


• Carries out duties of laborer to supplement shop labor needs and cleaning etc.


• Interacts in a team environment.


• Performs other duties/special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Reliable with capability of working independently.
