Job summary

Hooper, a well-established electrical power and mechanical contractor, seeks a CDL Driver to deliver materials and assist with warehouse tasks. You will operate Class A CDL equipment and trucks to support commercial and residential projects.

The role requires at least one year of CDL driving experience and a high school diploma or GED, with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in all weather. Hooper offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year CDL driving experience with a good driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic math skills.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Reliable and able to work independently.
• Able to lift materials up to 75 pounds regularly.
• Ability to deliver and unload on field construction sites in all kinds of weather.
• Ability to climb ladders and steps.

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of Class A CDL equipment and standard pickup trucks to make deliveries to job sites.
• Loads and secures materials on vehicle and often manually unloads vehicle.
• Conducts pre-trip inspection of delivery vehicle to assure that vehicle is safe to drive and roadworthy.
• Operates forklift as needed.
• Carries out duties of laborer to supplement shop labor needs and cleaning etc.
• Interacts in a team environment.
• Performs other duties/special projects as assigned.
