Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a driver to pick up and deliver freight between service centers, supporting the sales process. You will operate tractor-trailer combinations, perform pre-trip inspections, secure freight, document properly, and communicate with dispatch.

Required are a CDL-A with hazmat/tank endorsements, DOT compliance, and the ability to work independently or in a team. This role may include linehaul duties and related compensation considerations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat and tank endorsements; automatic transmission allowed.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years or completion of FedEx Freight Driver Development Course.
• Qualified MVR and DOT regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combination and possibly doubles/triples.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Handle freight with appropriate equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand truck).
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Complete required documentation and reports.
