Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Courier to move materials from the warehouse to various Virginia, Maryland, and DC sites. You will follow routes, confirm deliveries with the office, and handle messages and packages between divisions. A clean driving record and ability to work outdoors are essential.

This role involves overtime, night shifts, and working in sometimes restricted or construction environments while maintaining professionalism and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED with 2+ years of experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Knowledge of surrounding area roads and highways.
• Must successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Moving materials from the Company's warehouse and area vendors to various job sites using M.C. Dean, Inc. vehicles.
• Checking with the corporate office after completed deliveries in order to confirm deliveries and collections and to receive instructions for other deliveries.
• Delivering messages and items such as documents and packages between Company divisions and job sites.
• Obtaining signatures and payments or arranging for recipients to make payments.
• Planning and following the most efficient routes for delivering goods.
• Receiving messages or materials to be delivered, and information on recipients, such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, and delivery instructions, communicated via telephone, two-way radio, or in person.
• Recording information such as items received and delivered and recipients' responses to messages.
• Sorting items to be delivered according to the delivery routes.
