Job summary

Lewis Environmental is seeking a Driver to operate commercial vehicles for environmental services projects, including transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials and supporting emergency response efforts.

The role requires a valid CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, at least 2 years of CDL experience, and a strong safety/compliance mindset. Flexibility to work weekends and after-hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CDL driver experience, preferably with hazardous materials handling.
• Valid CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Clean MVR and successful background check, including an acceptable FMCSA record.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• 40 hours of OSHA safety training is a plus, though training will be provided.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and after hours.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Operation: Safely drive commercial vehicles to support a wide range of environmental services projects.
• Compliance: Maintain all DOT and OSHA certifications required for operating a CDL truck, including transporting hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Safety: Follow all company safety rules and OSHA regulations. Attend required safety training programs to ensure a safe working environment.
• Emergency Response: Participate as a member of the On-Call Emergency Response Team, responding to environmental spills and other emergencies.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and ensure all equipment is maintained in excellent working condition.
• Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with all regulations regarding the transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Team Collaboration: Perform Service Technician duties as part of our team-based operations philosophy, assisting in the completion of various environmental tasks.
