GROWMARK FS is headquartered in Milford, Delaware, with branches in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Operates commercial sprayer or floater for applying crop inputs to producer fields. Operates and maintains single or tandem axle trucks, multi-axle configuration trucks for delivery and/or pick-up of agronomy and/or energy products and other equipment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Applies crop production inputs to fields and growing crops according to recommended rates, procedures, and all pesticide labels.
- Records application data according to regulations and standards.
- Sets up material handling, blending, storage, transport, and application equipment for blending and delivery of products.
- Blends products according to recommended rates and procedures.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and safely operates sprayers, floaters, trucks, and other equipment to meet company and DOT standards.
- Performs and records daily safety checks of assigned vehicle(s) and equipment, including pre-trip inspections.
- Follows preventative maintenance programs and maintains a clean truck appearance.
- Loads and unloads containers, pallets, or materials and products safely, ensuring proper balance and axle weights.
- Manages inventory control and submits application records daily.
- Ensures all products are accounted for with invoices or delivery tickets.
- Completes necessary paperwork, including logs and cargo records, daily.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains, repairs, rebuilds, and services location equipment, vehicles, and structures as needed.
- Maintains company equipment according to standards and adheres to the Uniform Policy.
- Collects and records soil sample information using proper procedures.
- Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Environmental Health and Safety policies, OSHA, and DOT procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 2 years of related work experience.
- Demonstrates business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision-making, and skill development.
- Must have or obtain a CDL with required endorsements, a satisfactory driving record, and a valid medical card.
- Must hold or obtain pesticide or fertilizer applicator licenses or certifications as required by state.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed and work in various conditions, including extreme weather, noisy environments, dust, fumes, chemicals, and at heights.
- Lifts 51-70 lbs.
- Willingness to participate in training related to policies and position requirements.
