Job summary

QXO invites applications for a CDL driver role responsible for touch-freight, loading, and on-site safety. The position requires maintaining truck readiness, accurate loading, and clear communication with dispatch to ensure on-time deliveries.

Applicants must hold a valid Class A or B CDL, have at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience, and be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Teamwork and safety are prioritized in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE.
