Job summary

QXO is hiring a CDL Driver to safely deliver building materials to customer sites and job sites, combining driving with loading, securing, and material handling. The role requires safety focus, dependable performance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid CDL Class A license, have 1–2 years of driving experience, and be comfortable with equipment like flatbeds and boom trucks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and safe driving practices.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to manage daily delivery schedules independently.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to operate mobile apps, GPS systems, and delivery tools.
• Must be 21+ and hold a valid CDL Class A license.
• 1–2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
• Experience operating flatbeds, tractor-trailers, manual transmissions, or oversized vehicles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport building materials to customer sites according to routes and schedules.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections per DOT/FMCSA rules.
• Plan routes considering traffic, weather, and site access; communicate with dispatch.
• Document deliveries with signatures and required paperwork.
• Assist with loading/unloading and material handling; ensure proper load securement.
• Maintain clean, safe company vehicle and report maintenance needs.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment as required and follow safety protocols.
• Support branch and yard operations as needed.
• Provide professional customer service during deliveries and at sites.
