Job summary

Berco Building Materials in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Commercial Truck Driver (Class A or B) to safely deliver redwood, decking, lumber and hardware to job sites, residential drives, and contractor yards. You will load and secure loads, interact with customers professionally, and support yard and dispatch operations.

Required is a valid CDL, clean driving history, and 1–2 years in commercial driving (building materials a plus).

Qualifications

• Valid Class A or B CDL required.
• Clean driving record and safe driving history.
• 1–2 years commercial driving experience preferred, building materials a plus.
• Forklift/piggyback forklift experience preferred (certification a plus).
• Strong customer service orientation and clear communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A/B trucks (flatbed/dump) and use piggyback forklift when needed.
• Deliver redwood, decking, lumber, hardware to job sites and contractor yards.
• Load/unload materials; secure loads per standards and tickets.
• Read delivery instructions and coordinate with dispatch to ensure on-time service.
• Maintain logs, proof of delivery, and conduct pre/post-trip inspections.
