Job summary

Apple Valley Waste, Inc. is hiring a CDL Driver in Manassas, VA to operate a residential collection truck with automatic side-loading equipment on assigned routes. You will ensure safe, efficient pickups and maintain daily logs, while upholding DOT and company policies.

The role requires a Class B CDL with air-brake endorsement and 1–2 years of driving experience. Outdoor work in all weather is expected; overtime, weekends, and holidays may apply.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B with air-brake endorsement.
• 1-2 years commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating automatic side-load equipment from the cab.
• Driving record meets company and insurance standards.
• Able to pass background checks, drug/alcohol screens, and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate a residential refuse truck with ASL equipment on assigned routes.
• Follow route sheets and onboard routing systems to complete stops on time.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and obstacles.
• Handle occasional bulky items per guidelines and regulations.
• Complete paperwork and logs accurately.
• Inspect truck and ASL arm daily and report defects.
