Job summary

QXO is a leading distributor and installer of building products, seeking a dependable CDL driver to perform touch-freight tasks, load verification, and on-site safety checks. The role requires readiness for outdoor work and adherence to DOT procedures while delivering products to job sites.

Applicants should have a valid Class A license, at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience, and the ability to work well independently or on a team.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
