Job summary

QXO in Mobile, AL is seeking a driver with a valid Class A CDL to perform touch-freight tasks, pre-inspect trucks, load materials, and ensure the safe loading/unloading on site.

You will communicate with dispatch, follow DOT procedures, and work outdoors in all weather. This role offers benefits including 401(k), health coverage, PTO, and paid training.

Must be 21+, with at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience and the ability to lift heavy loads.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
