Job summary

QXO is seeking a CDL A truck driver to perform touch-freight tasks, load materials, pre-inspect the truck, and coordinate with dispatchers to ensure timely deliveries. This role involves lifting over 75 lbs, outdoor work in all weather, and strict safety compliance.

You must be at least 21, hold a valid Class A CDL, have 12 months of verifiable driving experience, and be able to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, lifting, moving, or carrying products over 75 lbs.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect sites for safe loading/unloading.
• Maintain regular communication with dispatch to ensure timely delivery.
• Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What You'll Do

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
