QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products in Fort Myers, FL, is seeking a professional CDL Class A driver to join our team. You will perform touch-freight tasks, pre-inspect trucks, and ensure load accuracy while maintaining safety and compliance with DOT procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and hold a valid CDL Class A.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Able to operate heavy equipment.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform touch-freight tasks, including heavy loading/unloading.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site for loading safety.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures and wear PPE.

What You'll Do

• Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE

What You'll Bring

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A CDL license in good standing
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
