Monarch Mountain in Salida, CO seeks a CDL Driver to operate the Employee Shuttle and other Monarch vehicles in winter mountain conditions. This role requires a Colorado CDL-B with P2 endorsement, a DOT card, and a clean driving record.

• 6 years driving experience
• Current Colorado CDL-B license with P2 endorsement and Monarch insurable driving record
• DOT physical card
• Must pass Alcohol/Drug screening
• Strong safety and customer service mindset

Responsibilities

• Drive large capacity (16+ passenger) buses including the Employee Shuttle
• Pick-up and drop-off passengers at designated locations and times
• Operate Monarch passenger vehicles as needed
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper operation
• Complete vehicle operations logs and report issues
• Monitor rider conduct per Shuttle Handbook and report concerns
• Observe all speed limits and road requirements
• Perform regular shuttle bus cleaning
• Other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $27.00 - $29.00 Hourly

JOB SUMMARY

The CDL Driver is a fun and exciting way to join the on-mountain ski industry and the Monarch family. This position requires an individual with a Colorado Commercial Driver’s License to drive Monarch’s 16+ passenger vehicles, primarily the Employee Shuttle and other vehicles as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Drive Monarch’s large capacity (16+ passengers) buses, to include the Monarch Employee Shuttle Bus.
• Pick-up and drop-off passengers at the designated locations and at scheduled times, as applicable.
• Drive other Monarch passenger vehicles as necessary.
• Responsible for the proper operation, cleanliness and ridership of assigned vehicle.
• Responsible for filling out vehicle operations log as required, and properly reporting any operating issues.
• Oversee riders’ behavior in accordance with the Employee Handbook (Shuttle Conduct); report questionable rider conduct to your manager.
• Observe all posted speed limits, road signage and road requirements.
• Clean Shuttle buses on a regular basis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Age: 25
• 6 years driving experience
• Legal citizen of the United States or possess other proper work permit authentication.
• High School Diploma or GED required, college degree preferred.
• A valid Driver’s License, and a good, company insurable driving record is required.
• Current Colorado CDL-B license with P2 endorsement, and a Monarch insurable driving record.
• Current DOT physical card.
• Must pass an Alcohol/Drug screening.
• Must know how to properly drive passenger vehicles in very adverse winter conditions and on steep mountain passes.
• Must be available by phone while on duty.
• Requires working at high elevation (up to 12,000’), with extended exposure to adverse weather conditions, such as severe cold, heavy snowfall, rain, strong winds and intense sun.

• Compensation: Proposed hiring rate starts at $27.00 (actual pay will be adjusted based on experience).
