Job summary

Gulfeagle Supply in Redding, CA is seeking an experienced Driver to efficiently navigate routes to job sites while adhering to safety and DOT regulations. The role involves loading and unloading materials, assisting with crane/forklift operations, and representing the company professionally on every job site.

Candidates must have a valid CDL and a clean driving record. Pay is based on experience with a competitive sign-on bonus and the benefit of being HOME EVERY NIGHT.

Qualifications

• Valid state CDL Class A or B with clean MVR and DOT record.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Current Medical Certification Card.
• Must have held CDL driving position the previous year with consecutive driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive the most efficient route to job sites while obeying traffic laws and company policies.
• Assist in loading and securing materials on trucks daily and unloading using crane, conveyor, or by hand.
• Represent Gulfeagle Supply on job sites as a face of the company and provide guidance as needed.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

Driver

Our drivers are responsible for safely driving the most efficient route to the job site, observing and obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations as well as company policies and procedures. They assist in loading and securing materials on trucks daily and help unload materials using crane, conveyor, piggyback and/or by hand. Gulfeagle drivers are the face of our company on the jobsite as they lead, instruct, and supervise others.

Requirements:

• Valid state CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with clear MVR and DOT record
• Must be 21 years old or older
• Must have current and valid Medical Certification Card
• Must have held CDL driving position the previous year with consecutive driving experience
• Must have a high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of the vehicle
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb
• Ability and willingness to climb on a rooftop and ensure proper stacking (location based)
• Must have the ability to repeatedly lift up to 100 pounds of material for extended periods of time
• Must be able to climb a 40’ ladder (location based)
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness of vehicles
• Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to pass a company required drug screening; all employees are subject to random drug testing per company policy

Preferred:

• Previous material handling experience
• Previous forklift experience
• Certified to operate a crane
