Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver to serve contractors and trade partners. The role involves delivering materials, assisting in the warehouse, and representing the company on job sites with a strong focus on customer service.

Candidates should hold a CDL license (B or A), maintain a clean driving record, and be capable of lifting up to 70 pounds. Forklift certification is preferred, work hours often start around 7:00 AM with evenings and no weekends depending on location.

HOME EVERY NIGHT! CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)

CDL Driver Responsibilities:

Lives the mission statement

Actsas a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service

Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse

Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries

Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites

Provides exceptional serviceto each Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service

Keeps warehouse clean and orderly

This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions notparticularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications:

CDL B (or A) license is required for this position

CDL Driver must have a clean driving record

Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team

Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds

Experience withbuilding productsis very helpful

Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude

At leastoneyear ofdriving experience

Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
