Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a CDL Driver to join our team in Fredericksburg, VA. You will start the day around 7:00 AM, delivering building products to job sites and assisting in the warehouse as needed.

Strong customer service and a clean driving record are essential for this role. You will operate a moffett forklift, interact with customers, and potentially take on related duties such as cycle counts or inside sales.

Qualifications

• CDL B (or A) license is required with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 70 pounds.
• One year of driving experience preferred.
• Experience with building products is helpful.
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck are required.

Responsibilities

• CDL Driver responsibilities include representing Lansing with outstanding customer service.
• Split time between deliveries and warehouse duties.
• Operate a moffett forklift during deliveries.
• Interact with customers and job-site crews.
• Maintain a clean, orderly warehouse and support additional duties as needed.

CDL Driver's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)

CDL Driver Responsibilities:

• Lives the mission statement
• Actsas a front-line Lansing representative while providing outstanding customer service
• Splits time between making deliveries and working in the warehouse
• Uses a moffett forklift to make deliveries
• Interacts with customers and or crews at job sites
• Provides exceptional serviceto each Lansing customer…and constantly strive to improve that level of service
• Keeps warehouse clean and orderly
• This is a "get-the-job-done" kind of position...you may be asked to perform other functions notparticularly addressed in this posting, such as cycle counts, inventory, inside sales, etc.

CDL Driver Qualifications:

• CDL B (or A) license is required for this position
• CDL Driver must have a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and focus -- and to work as a contributing member of a larger team
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes weighing as much as 70 pounds
• Experience withbuilding productsis very helpful
• Strong customer service skills, high integrity, and a positive attitude
• At leastoneyear ofdriving experience
• Forklift certification and experience with a piggyback truck
